Beavers C - Wednesday Night

Welcome to the 3rd Waterdown Beavers C Colony.  We are new for this year, offering a Wednesday night option for all of those boys and girls who are busy on Monday or Tuesay nights.

·        Our Meetings are held Sealey Hall in Waterdown and start at 6:45pm.  The meetings run unitl 8pm with lots of crafts, games, songs running in between.

·        Our Leader Team is looking for parents or other adults who would like to join the Team and help to offer a fun and exciting program for all the Beavers.

·         Parents every Beaver should be accompanied to and from the meeting by an adult or responsible older brother or sister. Parents are asked to come into the hall and meet us each week.

·        Beavers should arrive at the meeting in there full uniform (Vest, hat, Scarf and woggle).  The hat, vest and woggle are supplied by the parents.  The scarf & various badges are supplied by coloney at inveestiture.  Investiture ceremoney will be announced in a few weeks.

·        Occasionally depending on the activity and/or the behaviour we may run a little later than planned but parents are still asked to arrive promptly for 7:50 p.m for pick up at 8pm.  This will also allow leaders to relay an information to parents.

·         Each week the Beavers are asked to "feed the Beaver" a loonie -- this money is used to buy craft supplies and the like.

·         Discipline and respect is a big part of the Beaver program.  Our leaders using natural consequences appropriate to the actions will address inappropriate behaviour. If one of our Beavers can not be managed by the leaders and/or becomes a disruption to the program then they may be asked to stay at home for the next meeting.

·        Your constructive criticism, suggestions and help are always welcome. Please do not be shy, if you have something to suggest please let us know.

·         We are looking for parents to volunteer their time on occasion for activities that may require increased supervision or if there is a situation where one of our leaders may be absent.  This will continue to ensure that our beavers have the maximum supervision to allow for a fun yet safe environment.  If we do not have the support of our parents during these times then we risk having to cancel our meetings on those given evenings.

·        If you have any questions please feel free to email a leader or talk to us.  Participation from Beavers, Parents, and Leaders is key to running a successful and enjoyable program.  Lets have a Great Year!

Yours in Scouting,

3rd Waterdown Beaver Leaders
